Many of you here many not be aware of the athlete Yelena Gadzhievna Isinbayeva. You might think Yelena Isinbayeva to be an ordinary sportsperson, but it is not true. She is a pole vaulter and she is just 26 years of age. The amazing part is that this woman has leaped records for a record number of times. She has beat her own records 24 times and the sky is the only thing that can stop this woman from creating yet another record. She is the first women to jump over 5m in the pole vault event and there is no one to beat her on the tracks as she has been the undisputed champion in all the events that she has participated so far. She has a large number of gold medals in her showcase and she own the gold medal in the latest Olympics, with a world record to add flavour to the moment, that took place in Beijing to add to her tally of gold medals that she has won previously. She is the current record holder in both the indoor and the outdoor events of the pole vault event in women category with a record of 4.75 in indoor and 5.05 in outdoor. She was a gymnast in her earlier years in the childhood but she ultimately left the sport because as she grew she was considered too tall to be competitive and she choose her career as a pole vaulter . This is the right decision in her career else the world would have missed a great sports person like her.
