This post is about a Russian-American gymnast. And something special about her is that she is the individual all-round gold medalist in the 2008 Olympics. This achievement made her to be the third American women after Mary Lou Retton and Carly Patterson to win the all-around gold. Have you guessed the person whom I am talking about right now? Yes, you are right. It’s Nastia Liukin. Nastia Liukin was born on October 30th 1989 in Moscow and moved to US after the Soviet break down. She won the individual all round gold medal in 2008 Olympics. She had also won the 2005 and 2007 World Champion on the balance team and 2005 world champion on the uneven bars. At present she holds nice world championship medals and seven of them are individual championships. She began her career at her young age. She was coached by her parents at the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy which is her family’s gymnastics club in Texas. Shopping, AIM, Swimming and reading are her hobbies. She is born to win.
