In what was the first shock to this season the new entrants Hull City beat the title contenders Arsenal by one goal at the Emirates. Hull City has been in tremendous form right from the start of the season and with this win over Arsenal at the Emirates they have sent an alarm message to the other top four powers in England about their strength. The highlight of the match was the goal scored by the midfielder Geovanni who scored an astonishing wonder kick right from just outside the box which went past Alumina, the Arsenal goal keeper. The mad fans of Hull City were just in joy to see their team in level with Arsenal that too at the Emirates. Later after about 10 minutes they took the lead and they maintained the lead right throughout the match though Arsenal attacked much in the ending minutes of the match. With this win Hull City are in the third position of the table and in the next couple of weeks they are having easy fixtures against struggling Tottenham and fellow new entrants West Bromwhich. They must be having no trouble in winning those matches and will remain in the top four of the table till the end of October. If they continue atleast 75% of their current form in the second half of the season they are sure to be having some European action next season.
